Paediatric physiotherapists see a very wide range of problems from physical disability to painful joints and balance difficulties. We also help with respiratory (breathing) conditions. We recognise the importance of early intervention and prevention to enable children and young people to maximise their full potential. However, we may be required at various stages throughout a child’s life cycle or disease process.
Paediatric physiotherapists recognise the importance of working in partnership with the child, parents, carers and a variety of professionals to maximise a child’s physical abilities and independence. We also use our strong educational skills to teach, empower and promote physical wellbeing and independence.
