Clinics

Antenatal Care

Routine antenatal check-ups by our qualified midwives. Tuesday 1.30pm – 3.30pm.

Child Health

Please note the child health clinic is no longer run in the practice.  Children requiring immunisations will be called to attend an appointment in Wing G at the Health Centre.  Any general advice on  child health can be obtained from the Health Visiting team.  Any children who are unwell should make an appointment to see their GP, if they have an ailment that cannot be remedied over the counter at the free Pharmacy First service in Inverclyde.

Well Woman

The practice nurses provide advice on carrying out breast checks, contraception and sexual health matters, as well as carrying out cervical smears and swabs as necessary. Nurse Conway can fit contraceptive implants after discussion. Times and days vary – please check with reception for appointment availability.

Asthma and COPD

Check-ups and advice from our Practice Nurses on lifestyle, inhaler techniques and medication. Times and days vary – please check with reception for appointment availability.

Diabetic

Check-ups and advice on lifestyle and medication by our Practice Nurses. Sister McFarlane has a particular interest in this area. Appointments are arranged by Pauline, in our admin team.

Immunisations

We run annual flu clinics for the elderly and at risk groups. Travel immunisations can be organised by completing a travel health questionnaire and arranging an appointment after speaking to the practice nurse. Please note not all travel vaccinations are available on the NHS and that many vaccinations require several weeks to take full effect.  You may be asked to attend a private Travel Clinic if you have left it too late to arrange an appointment for the practice nurse to organise treatment required. Times and days vary – please check with reception for appointment availability.
