Antenatal Care

Routine antenatal check-ups by our qualified midwives. Tuesday 1.30pm – 3.30pm.

Child Health

Please note the child health clinic is not for unwell babies or children. A drop-in clinic for advice and weight checking by our Health Visitors is available. Vaccinations are carried out for all children up to age 5 by the practice nurses by appointment only.

Dr Royle is the GP responsible for the child health clinic.

Wednesday 1.30pm – 3.30pm

Well Woman

The practice nurses provide advice on carrying out breast checks, contraception and sexual health matters, as well as carrying out cervical smears and swabs as necessary. Nurse Conway can fit contraceptive implants. Times and days vary – please check with reception for appointment availability.

Asthma and COPD

Check-ups and advice from our Practice Nurses on lifestyle, inhaler techniques and medication. Times and days vary – please check with reception for appointment availability.

Diabetic

Check-ups and advice on lifestyle and medication by our Practice Nurses. Sister McFarlane has a particular interest in this area. Appointments are arranged by Pauline, in our admin team.

Immunisations

We run annual flu clinics for the elderly and at risk groups. Travel immunisations can be organised by completing a travel health questionnaire and arranging an appointment after speaking to the practice nurse. Please note not all travel vaccinations are available on the NHS. Times and days vary – please check with reception for appointment availability.
